MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (a 20-minute walk) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. The city’s excellent restaurants might inspire guests to cook for themselves, so a visit to Lugano’s main farmers market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (20 mins walk), is a great place to pick up the best local produce. The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25 minute walk from the apartment.
