The village has many stairs and climbs to walk up!).Gandria is a picturesque and well-preserved village, among the most beautiful lakeside villages in Ticino, whose houses nestled on the mountainside, on the slopes of Mount Brè, are reflected in the waters of the Ceresio. The narrow buildings are reached via stairways and narrow streets. Some houses date from the 16th and 17th centuries and are adorned with frescoes and stucco decorations. The village is easily reachable by boat from Lugano, by car and by bus via the scenic road, Strada di Gandria.Next to the apartment is Roccabella Restaurant, which offers menus of local dishes and also provides breakfast service upon request.Among the most celebrated points of interest is the famous Sentiero di Gandria, an extraordinarily beautiful path that follows the lake among green Mediterranean vegetation, olive trees, typical lakeside houses, and the lake within walking distance. Also easily reached by boat are Cantine di Gandria and Caprino, on the other side of the lake, where you can walk a path through the greenery and enjoy Ticino food in typical Grotti.
